It will be a repository of sorts. Probably plenty of things regarding web development, life, cooking, recipes, working, health, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A little about me&#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since you&#8217;re so curious, I live with my wonderful wife and girls in Wisconsin. We&#8217;ve been married since 2010 and it&#8217;s been the best adventure of my life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been building websites and web applications for people, non-profits, embassies, and businesses since 2012.\u00a0I really love doing this. It&#8217;s the perfect mix of problem solving, building, and life-long learning. And there&#8217;s plenty to learn in web development!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By day, I work at the University of Wisconsin\u2014Madison as an Application Architect, building custom web experiences, caring for applications, and do a lot of fun R&amp;D. By night, I still do some, <em>very selective<\/em> freelancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some more history since I&#8217;ve been at this for over a decade&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I&#8217;ve mostly freelanced, working through platforms like toptal and Codeable, <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I did a brief stint as a web engineer with 10up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I spent a little over two years as VP of Development at The Digital Ring, building out custom applications and leading\/mentoring the dev team. It was awesome!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recently, I was a Senior WordPress engineer at Strattic for two and a half years, building custom serverless integrations for WordPress (&#x1f92f;, a ton of fun!) with an awesome team of folks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strattic was acquired by  <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/elementor.com\">Elementor<\/a><\/strong>, and I spent a year working there as a Full Stack Developer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m an avid learner and have made a habit of collecting masters degrees. I have three:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a masters of business administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a masters of divinity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and a masters in citizenship and human rights: ethics and politics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I&#8217;d be a professional student if I could&#8230;<\/p>\n<cite>&#8211; Me<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We love traveling. I&#8217;ve been to six continents (not Antartica&#8230; yet!), lived on four. I speak Spanish and I\u2019m varying degrees of conversational in a couple other languages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family, friends, food, coffee, and cooking are basically my favorite activities outside of work. I might even put up some of my favorite recipes and concoctions here for your viewing and tasting pleasure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I knew I couldn&#8217;t fail, I&#8217;d probably open a restaurant where I made\u00a0a few dishes a day for people,\u00a0open for lunch and work until everything was sold out.
